About Us

This is a blog of a multicultural couple who loves food. We are going to introduce you to two different types of cuisine, Romanian and Portuguese. Whereas people might think they are very different, they are not. Perhaps the most notorious difference is that Romanians are quite reluctant about eating anything that has tentacles instead of legs. Well, Portugal is almost entirely surrounded by water. We are not going to fight to make a point.

These being said, we assure you that you will find here lots of savoury dishes, whether we speak about meat, vegetables or sweets.

We welcome you once again and urge you to enjoy the recipes posted here. And if you will have a glass of good wine as well, it’s all the better.

Now here are some additional explanations. The couple we are talking about is comprised of:

Dan – Romanian pork chunk

Ana – Portuguese sweet delicacy

(pictures will be added soon)

We met in Belgium. Anything else is not important. After we met, we had to participate to an official dinner. You can probably see where this was going.

We are currently living in the Czech Republic. The atmosphere is quite intriguing since the Czechs love eating as much as any normal European individual, if not more. As an example, for some Czechs, a dish with no meat whatsoever cannot be called a dish. :)
